Naked Neon™ is a Custom Neon product that combines high-quality LED neon flex with our next-generation backboards to allow an ultra-close-cut backboard for a neon sign that's virtually without visible backing.

The Naked Neon™ backboards are created from polycarbonate (PC). Polycarbonates are carbon polymers with organic groups attached in a long, continuous chain, creating a strong yet flexible material that can withstand impact forces and generally does not shatter.

What makes the material remarkable is the combination of flexibility and strength. Polycarbonate is pliable and has an impact resistance 250 times higher than glass while still being flexible at room temperature.

This allows us to create signs with a barely visible, transparent backboard that extends a minimal distance around the outline of the LED flex but still provides a resilient way to mount the sign. As with all of our LED neon signs, Naked Neon™ will provide years of use if handled with care.
