Built for the Weather: What IP67 Means
IP stands for Ingress Protection, a rating set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under standard IEC 60529. It tells you how well an electrical enclosure keeps out solid particles and water. IP67 means the sign is fully dust-tight and protected against short periods underwater, which covers just about anything the outdoors can throw at it.
Every exterior sign in our range can be built to IP67. That means complete protection against dust, plus the ability to sit in water up to one metre deep for half an hour without damage. On a real building, it is what keeps a sign running through heavy rain, humid summers, salty coastal air and sharp temperature swings.
What Your Sign Stands Up To
Once it is on the wall, an outdoor sign from us is sealed and built to handle:
- Heavy rain and storms: sealed LED modules and enclosed letter cavities keep moisture out.
- Humidity and condensation: useful for coastal spots, tropical climates and covered outdoor areas.

Materials That Stand Up Outdoors
Each outdoor sign is made to order from materials chosen to last in the weather:
- Stainless steel: resists corrosion on its own, so coastal salt air, temperature swings and years of sun do not wear it down. Available brushed, mirrored or matt, and in Gold, Brass, Rose Gold and Black.
- Powder-coated aluminium: light, strong and corrosion-resistant, with a hard-wearing UV-stable colour matched to any Pantone, RGB, HEX or CMYK code.
- UV-stable acrylic faces: spread the light evenly and hold their colour and brightness for years, with very little to maintain.
- Sealed LED modules: sealed to IP67 so moisture never reaches the light source, bright, easy on power, and rated for 50,000-plus hours.
Colour Matching for Exterior Signage
Your sign is matched to your brand colours, down to the exact code. We UV-print and powder-coat to any Pantone, RGB, HEX, or CMYK code across the acrylic faces, metal returns and backing panels, and stainless steel is available in a choice of metallic finishes.
For the light itself there are eight LED colours, including four whites (Cool White 10,000K, Daylight White 6,500K, Natural White 4,500K and Warm White 3,200K) plus Red, Pink, Blue and Green. For most outdoor branding, one of the whites renders your colours most accurately.
- Face and sides: UV-printed or powder-coated to any colour code.
- Stainless steel finishes: Brushed, Mirrored or Matt in Gold, Brass, Rose Gold, Black and Silver.
- LED colours: 8 options, including 4 white temperatures.
- Backing panels: UV-printed or stainless steel in matching brand colours.
Exterior Sign Installation Options
There are three ways to mount an outdoor sign. Which one suits you depends on your building, the look you want, and whether you have a licensed electrician on hand.
- Direct wall mount: letters or logos fix straight onto the building face with threaded studs and non-corrosive fasteners, wiring hidden in the wall. The cleanest finish, and best for permanent installs. A qualified electrician wires it in.
- Raceway mount: letters sit on a slim metal box that holds the wiring and power supply, so there are far fewer holes in the building and the electrical side is simpler. Can be plug-in or hard-wired.
- Backing panel mount: everything mounts on a panel (rectangle, circle or custom shape) for a plug-and-play install with no electrician required. Comes with a standard screw kit, with extra mounting hardware available.
Individual letters mounted without a backing panel need a licensed electrician to connect them to your building's supply. Whatever the method, please ensure the installation complies with your local building and electrical regulations.
