Imagine all your favourite authentic Mexican foods in a vibrant restaurant with great nightlife. You won’t be able to get enough of this place. Caballitos is Perth’s lively Mexican cantina that ensures a night full of fun, laughter and good food. The first thing you see when you approach the outside of the venue is a Custom Neon sign of their business name in bright red neon. Patrons are then guided through multi-coloured neon archways. This serves as a great way to catch customer’s attention and leave them in awe before even entering the venue.

The Beaufort

The Beaufort, another trendy location in Perth, had a massive transformation back in 2022. What had once been an old building in the middle of Beaufort Street is now a stunning and modern restaurant showcasing three Custom Neon signs.
A deep green neon sign with the quote ‘King of The Jungle’ located next to the staircase in their indoor/outdoor beer garden is the showstopper. The sign is positioned on a floral mural, the perfect background for those insta-worthy pics!
As you walk through the venue, you'll notice a warm white directional sign that says 'The Rooftop' with arrows leading you to the rooftop bar. And that's where you'll spot yet another Custom Neon all-weather sign for their "Candy Bar" (get it?), shown here literally resisting the rain.
Little Betty's

Little Betty's is a sleek and spacious venue with live music and a cool atmosphere. Custom Neon created a branded sign for the exterior of the venue that won’t go unnoticed. The sign is placed on the outside of the building against a white brick wall and illuminates the building with a retro red glow.
The custom font signage is a welcome addition to the venue’s exterior and creates an eye-catching radiance that is sure to be seen by approaching customers.

Obsessed with all things Mexican? In the center of Brisbane, Rita’s Bar offers its very own spin on Mexican cuisine.
The Custom Neon sign that reads 'Welcome to the Rita Bar,’ sits above a giant green tiki statue on a bamboo panelled wall at the frontage of the restaurant. The design creates a vintage Vegas-inspired look which perfectly suits this quirky restaurant!
The bright pink neon was completely eye-catching. It was a statement in the space, and the neon glow created the perfect ambiance to sit back and enjoy a drink. Every bar needs one of these!

The Vic Park Hotel is a popular venue in Perth that underwent a major revamp of its beer garden to include a kid’s playground and an area where dogs are welcome. They also added an outdoor iconic mural of the queen on a dollar bill, with a waterproof crown sign in a fantastic bright pink neon placed upon her head.

Feeling like a blast from the past? Blue Topaz Diner is a 50s-inspired retro diner at the Blue Topaz Caravan Park, located in the Granite Belt Region of New South Wales. The vibrant diner showcases an electric blue neon sign with the restaurant’s name at the front of the venue.

The incredibly unique Bobby Bakehouse is the perfect place to enjoy some freshly baked goods. This bakery/pie shop/communal gathering space has no fewer than 13 of our Custom Neon signs. Located both inside and outside the venue, they help to create a vibrant, vintage aesthetic.
Bright red neon signs are spread throughout with one reading “Now Baking” on the front of the old fashioned “Pie Bus” - a tired old bus the owners transformed into a customised bakery on wheels - and two others with the quotes “Bobby Bakehouse” and “Cupcakes” located on the windscreens of retro cars. Can Custom Neon® signs be used outdoors?
Custom Neon makes indoor LED neon flex and outdoor acrylic neon signs for business, events, weddings, and residential use. While our indoor signs may be used outside for short periods during fair weather, they should never be exposed to rain, snow, water, or any sort of liquid, either inside or outdoors.
Our exterior product range, on the other hand, has been specifically developed for use outdoors and carries an IP67 waterproof rating. We offer a 24-month warranty for all of our outdoor neon signs. Please choose our exterior options if you are ordering a Custom Neon sign to install or use outside.
Please note that the dimmer/remote is not weatherproof and that none of our signs, wiring, or components should be submerged.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor Custom Neon® signs?
While our indoor signs may be used outside for short periods during fair weather, they should never be exposed to rain, snow, water or any sort of liquid either inside or outside. Our exterior products, on the other hand, carry an IP67 waterproof rating and have been specifically designed to produce the same brilliant neon glow while providing a far greater level of protection against the elements.
An IP rating is a certification proving a product meets a certain standard of water and dust proofing/resistance. IP67 products are protected from contact with harmful dust and from immersion in water with a depth of up to 3.3 feet (1 meter) for up to 30 mins. They are not for underwater use.
Please note that the dimmer/remote is not weatherproof and that none of our signs, wiring, or components should be submerged.
Are all Custom Neon® signs weather resistant?
Our exterior use products have been designed with the weather in mind and carry an IP67 waterproof rating. We provide a 24-month warranty for all of our outdoor acrylic neon signs.
Our standard interior signs can be used out of doors for a short period during fair weather. They are not made to withstand rain, snow, exposure to high heat or humidity or to contact with liquids of any sort.
Our 24-month warranty for our indoor product range is only valid for use indoors.
Glass Neon Tubing vs Acrylic Neon Lights - Which is Best for Outdoor Signs?
Vintage looking glass neon signs - the ones that use glass neon tubing - used to be the default for this type of outdoor lighted business sign. Thanks to modern acrylic neon sign developments, our neon-look light signs are more energy-efficient and available at a lower price point than traditional glass neon signs.
They also weigh less and are easier to mount or install. Depending on the size of the sign you order, our outdoor lighted business signs can even be portable, making them ideal for weddings, parties, festivals, market stalls, tradeshows, and outdoor corporate events.
